What Brings You Joy?

Now that we are out of Old Man Winter's clutches, I ask you this question; which is the question that my spiritual coordinator asked me several weeks ago. "What brings you joy?"

Is it nature? Is it a song on the radio? Is it poetry? Is it a movie that you've seen a thousand times but still laugh at every time you watch it?

Merriam Webster's dictionary defines joy as "a source or cause of delight." These are the things that bring me joy:

  • Waking up to a new day

  • My daily call with my parents

  • Hugs from my family

  • Writing time with Elizabeth and poetry

  • A good book

  • Chocolate chip cookies

  • The smell of freshly cut grass

  • Listening to brand new music because it's like getting a gift on Christmas morning

  • Seeing my new book for the first time

  • Hanging out with friends on my back patio

  • Spinning around in circles

  • A great movie

What brings you joy? Tell me in the comments.
