Summer Reads

Updated: Sep 3, 2020

Imagine this scene: you are lying on a beach suntanning and reading one of your favorite books. Which book do you choose? Well here are a few books that I think will fit the bill!

Beach Read

On the surface, this book is about a couple who meets in high school and reunites years later, but, there's a surprise twist at the end.

Woman In The Water

This book had me on the edge of my wheelchair the whole time with twists and turns I couldn't even keep up with all of the characters. Essentially, this book is a thriller and about a detective who finds a woman in the water and his obsession with finding her killer. This was definitely one of my favorites.

The Friend Zone

This book's title is misleading, and it's not about the friend zone that we all know. The main character is hiding a medical secret that could cost her the love of her life.

The Happily Ever After Playlist

The main character, Sloane, is still grieving from the loss of her fiance and trying to make the journey back to herself. She meets a up-and-coming musician and obviously falls in love with him but it doesn't end there...

Big Girl Panties

Another one of my favorites is called Big Girl Panties. This book is a rom-com book with loads of laughs. It's an easy read and a page-turner for sure. It's about an obese young woman trying to get back into shape after her husband dies. She meets a personal trainer on a flight from Toronto back to New York.

Unpregnant

My last summer read is for the teen in your life. This highly controversial novel is about teen pregnancy, as it is aptly titled "Unpregnant". A young girl is dead-set on getting an abortion. At the last minute, her boyfriend tries to convince her not to, but she gets it anyway.

The next book that I find will be a thriller, for all of you thrill-seeking adventure types out there. Check back with me in a couple of days. As always, happy reading! I hope that you like this category as well as my website. Thanks for checking it out.
