This week's Book Nook is all about going back to high school with Posted by John David Anderson. For me, I have bittersweet memories of high school. For some of you, it was the greatest time of your life.
This book will transport you back to school no matter what your experience may have been. It is told through the eyes of a 13-year-old boy aptly named Frost because he won a poetry contest in the fifth grade, and now his friends have stuck him with the nickname.
His other cohorts are Bench, Dee Dee and Wolf. Then there is the mysterious girl named Rose who turns their high school experience upside-down. This book will make you laugh out loud and cry all at once. I would say that this book is mainly geared towards pre-teens rather than adults but still, the title is what drew me in and I'm glad I read it. I could identify with every single one of the characters because I know what it's like to be unique.
