Romance Revival By Christina Lauren

I got to say friends, I didn't know what to expect when I turned on this book a couple weeks ago. I just finished it yesterday and was blown away by Christina Lauren, as usual, these extremely talented women did not disappoint. Julia Waylan the narrator gives voice to the main lead Emery.

She gets ready for what she thinks is an ace-in-the-bag day at work that will revolutionize the world. But, someone puts a snag in her day and it snowballs from there. She also misses her third wedding anniversary and her husband decides to meet her at the bottom of the driveway to talk, but something happens. So, a tragedy ensues. I got to be honest, when I heard it was Julia Waylan, I kind of didn't want to read the book. I have nothing against Julia Waylan but I guess I have learnt to get past the voice and just listen to the words of the story, and it had me hooked from the very beginning to the last chapter. Who can Emery trust? Is she going to revolutionize the world with her secret formula, the one she has been working on for far too long or will it cost her, her marriage? The male lead had a very sexy voice and I wanted to jump in the book every time he started speaking. So, if you want an intriguing read, pick this up at your nearest Chapters, Indigo, or wherever you get your books from. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Tune in next time for 1984 and Dracula. I figured I needed to listen to a spooky book now that Halloween is fast approaching.
