Blood! Baths! Death, Oh My! Mina goes to visit her friend in London but they don't know that Dracula will soon be on their coattails. This is Bram Stoker's Dracula, it was a play for your ears as well as 1984, so each character had their own voice. I loved Maggie Gyllenhaal, she did an awesome job voicing the Professor and going toe-to-toe with Dracula. I really liked Dracula's voice and the noises and sounds that were everywhere. There were also bats, coffins, and all things creepy crawly. Word of advice, don't read this book in the dark, it might scare you! Listening to this audiobook made me jump six feet in the air, although I will never admit that to any of my friends because I am a chicken and never watched a horror movie. but, I will read a horror book if recommended. I like imagining to horrors that Dracula evoked in me. Dracula is essentially a vampire who comes out at night and tries to make mere mortals into vampires, which is what Dracula is. The only thing that can deter him is the sun. If I give anymore of the plot away, that's called spoilers... sorry! The production was on point. I said this in my last Addictive Spines Review about 1984, it lived up to the hype and I think this one is even a freebie on audible if you're really interested in a scream on Halloween night or before then. I will just tell you it's a 5 hour running time and a scream of a good time.
